Doctor Bike brings safer cycling to your school or workplace
Support your employees or students to enjoy a healthier, greener commute.

A Dr Bike session offers a hassle-free, on-site bike maintenance service for schools, businesses, and organisations that want to encourage their staff or students to commute by bike and achieve environmental, sustainability and wellbeing targets.
Soul Frame Cycles is insured, and our mechanic is Cytech Qualified and DBS checked, with 20yrs of experience in the industry.
How it works
On your designated Dr Bike session, we'll park our fully mobile workshop van in a secure space you've set aside. We're entirely self contained and don't need access to electricity or water.
Your students/employees simply bring their bikes along, attach an ID tag (we provide this) then leave their bike in our lockable stands whilst they go about their day. Each bike undergoes an "MOT," with most minor repairs completed on the spot. By the end of the session, they'll be ready to ride! For any more complex repair issues, we’ll inform the owner and offer a booking option for the repairs to be done at a later date (we can go directly to them).
What will it cost?
- Organisation Funded - Organisation pays for our time and employees/students get the service for free. Contact us now to discuss introductory rates from £50/hr (minimum 3hrs booking, each bike takes approx 30mins)
- Individually funded - This option is often arranged by the employees themselves through their own staff networks. The organisation simply provides a space and confirms pre-booked customers in consecutive slots. The bike owner pays for any work done at our usual rates (see our service pages)
Why cycling is beneficial
Encouraging students and employees to commute by bike has wide-ranging benefits for both you and them:
- Enhanced Productivity: Healthier employees tend to be more focused and perform better.
- Lower Carbon Footprint: Cycling reduces car use, helping decrease emissions and improve air quality.
- Better attendance: No running late because you're stuck in queues of traffic!
- Improved Wellbeing: Cycling boosts physical and emotional health, leading to higher levels of wellbeing, reduced stress, and greater self-confidence and independence.
Do you have a Cycle to Work scheme in place?
We can help to promote it! Having worked with several cycle retailers, we're confident in explaining the process and signposting employees to find the best bike solution for them.
